Assembly conditions can vary considerably within the same district. Väike-Õismäe has many apartment buildings from the 1970s and 1980s. The address examples include Õismäe tee 41 (1974, 5 storeys), Õismäe tee 4 (1975, 9 storeys) and Järveotsa tee 35a (1985, 14 storeys). Taller modern buildings have also appeared alongside this housing, including Päevalille tn 8, built in 2023.

Astangu has several generations of buildings: Astangu tn 56 was built in 1985 and Rehe tn 8/1 in 2018. Buildings in Kakumäe are noticeably lower: examples include Kakumäe tee 94 and Räime tn 26, two- to three-storey homes built in 2018. When booking, the type of home and the actual route to the room matter more than the district name alone.

If a new wardrobe is replacing an old one, start by measuring the available wall after dismantling the old furniture. Check the distance between skirting boards, room for the doors to open and ceiling clearance. For a sliding-door wardrobe, the tracks must be positioned correctly and the doors must clear surrounding furniture. Hinged doors need a clear area in front of the carcass.

In an occupied apartment, assembly often takes place beside a bed, sofa or workstation. We will check whether floor space can be cleared temporarily to lay out the parts. Tall furniture is fixed where necessary using fixings suited to the wall at that exact position: the building's construction year alone is not enough to choose them.

In a new Astangu apartment, several items are often booked for one visit: a bed with drawers, a wardrobe, bedside units and a dining table. Distribute the boxes between rooms beforehand and decide the order in which large items should be assembled. Kitchen installation requires measurements after finishing work, a module plan and the positions of utility connections.

For houses and smaller apartment buildings in Kakumäe, stairs between floors are a separate consideration. Long wardrobe side panels, worktops and tall wardrobe doors must fit through openings and around stair turns. If assembly is on the upper floor, tell us where the packages are and whether they need carrying. A house does not always mean easy access for heavy components.

State the floor, whether a lift is available for use and where tools and boxes can be unloaded. For large furniture, lift dimensions or a photo of the cabin are useful. For an enclosed courtyard, explain how to enter and which building entrance to use. Bringing furniture upstairs, carrying packages and removing leftover cardboard are agreed separately if required.

Before assembly, clear enough floor space for at least the largest item where possible. Check for radiators, sockets, switches and opening doors that may get in the way. For a wardrobe in a recess or a run of kitchen units, a photo of the wall with a tape measure is helpful.
